Native device fonts support From ELIPS Studio CR7, you can use any iOS and Android device fonts in your apps, for an improved rendering. This has been a frequent request and we are glad to release it. It comes with some changes in the text controls, the main one being they moved to the mob namespace. Of course, you can still embed your own fonts. See the below resources for more details: Be sure to download the latest UICatalog for a sample code.
WebServices: SOAP and HTTP authentication ELIPS Studio let you handle SOAP requests in your apps through the mx.rpc.soap.WebService class. SOAP is the XML-based protocol extensively used in enterprises to exchange information over HTTP. It comes in addition to other enterprise-grade features like HTTP authentication (Basic and Digest) and the recent support of local Databases to position ELIPS Studio as the ideal product for making enterprise mobile apps. See the below tutorial for more details about SOAP and WebServices in general: Refer to the API documentation to know more and download the latest UICatalog for a sample code.
Play sound Crank up the volume! You can now play, pause and stop audio files in your app though generic methods in ELIPS Studio. No need for native extensions. You can also set the volume and register to audio events. Check out the openplug.elips.services.SystemAPI class in the API documentation and download the latest UICatalog for sample code.
