Android 3.1 support
android 3.1

You can now target Android 3.1 based tablets and devices using OpenPlug Studio. Google launched Android 3.1 as an incremental release optimized for tablets. Your new OpenPlug Studio apps will be running on Android 3.1 out-of-the-box and for your old apps, simply build them again with the last release of OpenPlug Studio.

UI enhancement: Tablet SplitView and predefined List renderers

Sample OpenPlug Studio developers focus much on UI.. and we keep bringing more native controls as part of our software to cope with such a demand. New in this release:

  • The SplitView UI controls which is mapped natively on iOS. For implementation details, please refer to the SplitViewDemo sample application in the OpenPlug Studio "import" button.

  • The predefined List renderers corresponding to the iOS Standard Styles for Table-View Cells. With it, you can easily layout your List with an icon, a title and a subtitle using those predifined item renderers. For implementation details, please refer to the UICatalog sample application in the OpenPlug Studio "import" button.

Flash Buidler 4.5 support

notif Good piece of news for our Adobe users: OpenPlug Studio now works with Adobe Flash Builder 4.5. When installing the new release of OpenPlug Studio, you will be prompted for a standalone installation or for a Flash Builder 4.5 based installation (as well as previous versions).
Please be aware that OpenPlug Studio still exposes its own API set that give access to native mobile devices UI and services and which is inspired on Flex 3.5.

Javascript sample app
Javascript

Good piece of news for our Javascript users: A Javascript tutorial and a sample app are now available. JavaScript source files were supported in OpenPlug Studio since the last release but we were missing a sample app. This sample app is inspired from a google weather forecast widget and has been mobilized with OpenPlug Studio in both AS and JS code for your reference. Get it from the OpenPlug Studio toolbar "import" dialog box.
